If you had to give one piece of advice to the younger generation what would it be? “Always be true to yourself”. Throughout your lifetime you are going to be pulled in a million different directions and others may want or expect things of you that you do not feel comfortable with. Don’t be afraid to stand up for what you believe. You are in control of your own destiny- so “always be true to yourself” and you will succeed. |
What is your greatest achievement? Since watching my first preliminary pageant at the age of twelve I have always wanted to become Miss New Hampshire. I began competing in the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program at the age of seventeen and I have done everything in my power to achieve my goal. However; I have learned that the crown does not define a Miss New Hampshire. To become Miss New Hampshire is a conceptual goal. I have grown into a talented young woman who is confident within herself, well spoken, educated and a role model to all. With or without the crown, I exemplify Miss New Hampshire in all that I do, and that to me is my greatest achievement. |
What is your major in college? After receiving my B.A in communication arts from the University of New Hampshire, I decided to pursue my love of photography. I am currently a full time student at the Hallmark Institute of Photography where we focus sixty percent of our time on the technical aspects of photography and the other forty percent on the business of photography. I am in the process of working on building my own photography business, Katrina Bernard Photography, specializing in portrait, wedding, and event photography. |
List 3 qualities that you would like to be known for? The three qualities that I want to be known for are my integrity, my commitment to excellence and my sincerity. |
