Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I see myself dancing on the Radio City Music Hall Stage as one of the taller Rockettes. I hope the Rockettes see this as well! I studied with the Rockettes this past summer, and I believe I found my niche in the dance and performance world. Being 5' 10" has been a huge obstacle for me to overcome being a dancer all my life, and it is so wonderful to know that I am the perfect height to become part of the one of the most prestigious dance troupes in the world. If I'm not a Rockette, however, I do see myself singing and dancing on Broadway hopefully playing the role of a leading lady!

Are you an early-bird or a night-owl? Until recently I have been a night-owl. I didn't focus that much on getting eight hours of sleep and spent most of my productive hours quite late at night. I finally decided I was tired of being tired! I have started going to bed quite early at night and getting up early in the morning. I feel so much better, and my most productive hours of the day are in the early morning now! I am now getting about 7-8 hours of sleep each night, which has made a huge difference in every aspect of my life.

How has pageantry affected your life? I owe a lot of my growth and maturity to pageantry. In the year I've been competing I've taken a very deep look at who I am and who I want to become. In order to be successful in this program promoting your platform you must know yourself inside and out and have the confidence to be a public figure. I have taken the time to grow and mature in order to be the best version of myself and also the best role models for others. Pageantry has helped me find who I am and ultimately who I want to be.

If you had to give one piece of advice to the younger generation what would it be? A piece of advice that I wish I had listened to when I was younger is the importance of being yourself. There is a lot of pressure in grade school and high school to be a certain type of person and to fit a certain type of mold, which is something I definitely struggled with. I would like to see younger generations embrace who they are and their differences from each other instead of shying away from getting to know themselves. It is wasting time to pretend being someone you are not, instead of spending time getting to know yourself. I wished I had spent less time caring about what others thought of me and spending more time learning how to love who I am. I definitely would pass this advice along to the younger generation, and really anyone who struggles with this.
