How has pageantry affected your life? Pageantry has deeply enriched my life, and continuously teaches me how to become a better woman every day. Every competition, appearance, and service project is an opportunity to practice poise, humility, and respect for the community that supports me. I am elated knowing that the skills acquired from pageantry will teach me how to be an active and productive adult who makes positive changes in the world. I am able to share both my passion for patriotism and my talent of song, and also be a role model for younger generations. What more could a girl ask for? |
What has been the most fun craziest, or most unique job you have ever had? During the summer before I started college I was able to find a handful of restaurants looking for live entertainment. I have been singing at these restaurants with a pianist as a jazz duo weekly ever since. It feels like a hobby, but it actually is helping me pay for school. I was amazed to see everything fall into place. I am doing what I love and benefiting from it in so many ways! |
What type of movie do you like best and why? Media tends to linger in the depths of the subconscious mind, that’s why I love comedies. To me, a sense of humor is a core element of one’s personality, and when you feed it, it grows. There is so much to laugh about, and I really do believe that laughter is the best medicine. Humor is so powerful because it can make you happy, even in extremely terrible situations. |
How would you define success? I define success as striving to reach your maximum potential. Regardless of how big or small a goal is, as long as you give it your all, you can’t lose. Success is also utilizing every one of your talents to the best of your ability, and then pushing your limits by strengthening skills in areas where you are weak. If you never stop learning and never give up, you’re bound to be successful. |
