What is something people would be surprised to know about you? People would be surprised to know that I have been a life-long victim of bullying. Since entering the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program, I have spoken about this universal issue with confidence; preventing events that had occurred within my past from happening to the future generation, and spreading awareness of the severity of bullying and harassment. The first step to prevent bullying from occurring is through communication that it is not acceptable; If there is no audience, there is no show. |
What has been the most fun craziest or most unique job you have ever had? The craziest job I have ever had was working as an extra in the Hollywood film, The Zookeeper with Adam Sandler, Kevin James, and Rosario Dawson. One day on my way home from class in Boston, I noticed camera crews and asked what was going on. I was quickly introduced to the crew, directors, and even the producer. Next thing I knew I was being asked to work as an extra for a week while they were filming in the city. We would work from eight in the morning until two the next morning running scenes. It would have to be the most exciting, and time consuming job I have had thus far. Hopefully, all that hard work will not end up on the cutting room floor! |
If you had to give one piece of advice to the younger generation what would it be? One piece of advice that I would give to the younger generation, which is also the motto of my sorority Theta Phi Alpha, is that “Nothing great is ever achieved without much enduring”. Perseverance is essential to fulfill your dreams and aspirations. There will be walls that we as individuals will face that we must overcome; whether we go over, under, or through the wall. Although at times we may fail, it is imperative to understand that nothing can stop us from achieving something great as long as we endure. |
What is your major in college? What interests you most in school? My major is Broadcast Journalism but I am also pursuing two minors in Spanish and Marketing. My interest lies within language and communication studies that depict how and why we as individuals communicate. In the business sense, marketing serves as an outlook to how advertisements communicate with consumers. I hope to pursue a career as a bilingual broadcast journalist after grad school. |
