Since being crowned Miss New Hampshire in 1996, Michelle has gone on to pursue a successful professional dance career. After her year of service, she was chosen as a Radio City Rockette. From 1997-1999 Michelle performed with the Rockettes at the Rosemont Theater in Chicago, Illinois. In 2000 she was selected as a Rockette in New York City where she performed at the famed Radio City Music Hall. While in NYC with the Rockettes, she performed in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, on the Today Show, the Isaac Mizrahi Show and the Yankee Parade. Michelle also worked on shows such as "Tap Girls" and "42nd Street" and took part in a national promotion for Absolute vodka, entitled, “Absolute Tap”, which toured the country for two summers.
Michelle has continued to teach and her students have won numerous regional and national titles. She is now a professor at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York where she teaches in the musical theater department. She produced her first main-stage show last year, and has helped develop a strong tap department at the college. In the summer, Michelle serves as the Head of Dance at Camp Vega for girls, which is considered the number one all-girls camp in the country. |
