Mary Morin was a high school senior at St. Joseph’s High School—an all girls school—in Manchester and 18 years old when she won the Miss New Hampshire crown. Mary danced a modern dance to Ravel’s Bolero during the talent competition. She taught dance at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Manchester for a while. Mary was already a great science scholar in HS and had won many science awards when she competed.

Mary attended the University of New Hampshire and Boston University. She has three daughters (as of 2008 ages 38, 33, and 30) and nine grandchildren (15, 11, 8, 6, 4 (twins), 3, 2 and the newest was born on February 18, 2008—John Matthew Dawson!).

Mary, who now resides in Dallas, Texas, is a licensed and certified Aesthetician. She traveled back home to New Hampshire for her 50th anniversary and attended the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Competition on Saturday May 3, 2008. She received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a standing ovation from the crowd.
